As the world changes and becomes more fragmented and diversified, there is an ever increasing amount of crazy stuff that exists. There’s definitely not a short supply of weird, wild and wacky things that people come up with everyday. Novelty items aren’t the only things that fall into this category. Also, some of the recent scientific discoveries can be categorized as pretty crazy. String Theory for one can bend the mind of people who thought they had a grip on the nature of existence. Instead of trying to fight it and fit the world into a box that makes sense, just come along for the ride and let the world and all its absurdity plant a grin on your face instead of a grimace.

Some of the really crazy stuff that goes on these days has to do with corporate interests and essential aspects of life, such as food. It’s unbelievable how a few companies are able to determine the quality of food that the majority of the United States is going to eat. But that’s really an issue unto itself. Other things in the world that seem to defy logic are unicorns. Although they do not really exist, many people have developed a love, or even an obsession, for unicorns. Depending on who you ask, that could be considered crazy.

The world has gotten to the point where just about anything you can imagine exists in some form somewhere. As it turns out, a lot of people can imagine really crazy stuff. As the Internet connects us all together in more intricate ways than ever previously imagined, people are finding that they are not alone in their fantasies. They are connecting with like-minded people through the Internet and other portals to share their ideas. This clumping of focused ideas just might have a broad effect on how the world works and how people interpret it.

Without crazy stuff, there would be no possibility of breaking free from pre-existing ideas about the world and how it works, or even about human beings and how they think and grow. The goal will be to harness the power that the open window of absurdity lets inside. The crazy things in the world are keys to understanding the nature of things. Only through realizing this world-gone-crazy syndrome will you be able to transcend it and create the world as you would like it.

For some reason, tabloid news grips the entire nation. For this same reason, people care about what Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston are up to. This is crazy stuff. It probably says a great deal about the culture of the United States that the general person would worship these chiseled celebrities so much and pine after their every move. It doesn’t seem like a really healthy thing, for an individual or for a society. There is a theory that says Americans ogle after celebrities because it is their version of the Royal Family of the United Kingdom. The Unites States has never had anything quite like that. Although the Kennedy family has been the closest thing to it

So without a royally elevated class to look up to, the typically person waiting in line at the grocery store instead places their attention on the tabloid newspapers that first build up these celebrities, then work tirelessly to tear them down by pointing out their every flaw. This cycle is some pretty crazy stuff. However, that’s not all. Because of the culture that these celebrities are entering into, they must make themselves look more beautiful that even nature can produce. So they are getting all sorts of plastic surgery that makes them look unnatural. Yet, people still idolize these celebrities and judge themselves against the unrealistic and impossible standards the tabloid newspapers seem to hold them up to.

The real crazy stuff is that on occasion tabloid newspapers are not pure smut. In fact, sometime they break really important stories aside from Paris Hilton being caught drinking and driving . . . again. For instance, during the 2008 U.S. presidential election, the National Inquirer broke the story that Democratic candidate John Edwards was having an affair with someone on his staff who had mothered Edwards’ illegitimate baby. That was a really big story that the mainstream newspapers missed.

So although the majority of tabloid newspapers are at best a source of entertainment and humor and at worst quite harmful to individuals who take them seriously and the culture that supports that type of newspaper, there are some tabloids that do good work to focus the public attention on real issues that matter to them and not on which celebrity is getting too fat. The really crazy stuff about it is that many of the journalists who work for tabloids are actually really good reporters and writers. Instead of using their craft on helping people understand the complex world around them, they drag them through the muck of the world.

All romantic relationships must one day come to an end, of course except the one that does not. For all those others, the end happens. Many people experience amicable endings as they separate from someone they were intimate with for a long time, while others are not quite as lucky.

Most people have the one story of all sorts of crazy stuff that happened with they broke up with a boyfriend or girlfriend. The end of a long-term relationship can simply prove too much for some people, and they snap and begin doing things that they would never have predicted they would be doing previously.

It’s funny how people can really hurt the ones they love. Some of the crazy stuff exes do to try to retain a connection with their ex can be kind of scary for the person who is having the stuff done to them. It can be anything from calling and hanging up to driving by the house at night to see if there are other cars there. This is verging on stalker behavior and is uncomfortable for many people who have it done to them. There are anti-stalking laws in some states, but even in those states certain criteria must be met to charge an alleged stalker. Primarily, threats have to be made for the police to get involved.

The reason this is such crazy stuff is because the person doing these actions believes that through these potentially harmful or scary actions, they believe that their former lover will come back. In fact, the actions and stalker behavior is driving them farther and farther away, leaving no chance to get back together. Some people will even begin to get sort of crazy even while the relationship is going on. For instance, there are several cases of people threatening to kill themselves if they are broken up with by their boyfriend or girlfriend.

That might work in the short term, but it will never work in the long run. That’s because the person has showed themselves as someone who involves themselves in crazy stuff. No one wants to be connected with that. Therefore, the best thing to do is go to the police, even though they will probably not be able to help you. So, document every time the ex does something weird that crosses a boundary. You can build a case and make sure you can stop this activity sooner or later.

Some people question whether humans are meant to spend eight hours a day in a florescent-lighted office packed away in a cubicle doing the same task over and over, day in and day out. That question can be left up for debate; even though only in the past couple centuries did humans even participate in this kind of activity. It seems like pretty crazy stuff when thinking about it that way. No, early man was free to roam the plains or forests. He was able to go where the winds took him. However, this has all changed. Many people have office jobs now that they may not enjoy yet they must still go there every day to work and earn a paycheck for their family’s well being.

When forced into these conditions, some really crazy stuff can happen. Working in a cubicle makes it almost impossible to connect with nature in the way that men once did. They spend their days in boxes, eat food out of boxes and begin to think in terms of boxes. That’s not natural. Humans should be able to be outside much of the day and engage with people on many levels, say many scientists. But working an unrewarding job spending a third of your life in a tiny cubicle might not be the best way to live.

Because people who work in offices and cubicles often don’t have an outlet for their energy that gets pent up from working in an office, they get involved in crazy stuff while in the office or even after work to let off some steam. A guy working in an office might get involved with a coworker who he probably should not get romantically involved with. However, because he is locked into the office situation he can’t help it or doesn’t see the possible negative consequences.

This is often a bad idea that will send a lot of crazy stuff into motion. It’s usually not a good idea to get involved with coworkers. That’s because when the relationship ends, it has a high likelihood of ending badly and if you work with the person it can get really awkward. For many people, even if they don’t get romantically involved with coworkers, the office cubicle grind is enough to make them go crazy. So to avoid that, try to get a job that will allow you to be more active and engage with a variety of people.

There was a time when you would see someone walking down the street at a slow pace talking to themselves. You typically couldn’t even quite make out what they were saying. Perhaps you’d hear God mentioned briefly or them. Overall, though, one thing was clear: you were witnessing some crazy stuff. Yes, the person walking down the street talking to his or herself had some kind of mental illness and was playing that mental illness out by talking to the air or to the voices inside of his head. This was something that everyone could count on when they saw someone walking down the street talking to themselves. However now, life is no longer so certain.

With the advent of Bluetooth technology, it’s a lot harder to determine who is experiencing crazy stuff such as hallucinations, and who is having a two-sided conversation with someone else in a different location. In case you weren’t aware, a Bluetooth is a type of communication technology that allows a person to wear an ear piece and have the sound from a cell phone transmitted to the ear piece. That means that simply by wearing a little earpiece in the ear, a person can talk on the phone hands-free. The only problem with this is that when people are walking down the street talking on the phone, it appears that they are walking down the street talking to themselves.

That is how there have been a lot of confusion between what is crazy stuff and what is just someone walking down the street talking on the phone. Now that many states have passed laws making talking on a cell phone while driving illegal, many people have begun using Bluetooth technology. Most of these laws still allow for a hands-free phone call while driving. That’s why people are buying Bluetooth by the thousands.

The crazy stuff about that is that no one can tell who is crazy anymore and who is not. Before you jump to conclusions when you see someone walking down the street by themselves talking out loud, it is helpful to check the person’s ears to see if there are any ear pieces in their ears. That would mean they are probably not crazy. Of course, crazy people may be catching on and have started wearing ear pieces to make it look like they are talking to a real person on the other line. Don’t let that fool you.

Every now and then, everyone needs a little pick-me-up, something to make them laugh and take their mind off the drudgery at hand. So what is one to do in such a time? Where can one turn?

Thankfully, in the age of the internet, finding such a refuge is easier than ever. A few clicks of the mouse and there is instant entertainment to be had. However, with so much crazy stuff out there, how can anyone be sure to find the stuff worth checking out?

Here are some helpful hints to finding crazy stuff online.

One of the best places to start is a video sharing site. The most popular such site is undoubtedly Youtube, but other sites such as Yahoo also have a decent variety of videos. While there are many informative videos on Youtube, the vast majority of the videos shared on Youtube are weird and wacky home videos. Along with that, viewers might find an interesting assortment of vintage clips, including everything from musical concerts to old commercials. In general, there is plenty of distraction to be found on a video sharing site, and if simple searching is more than the overloaded brain can handle, Youtube and other sites usually have a Now Playing and Popular Video area to make it easy to start the crazy viewing experience.

If videos are not enough to adequately distract one from a miserable day, never fear. There is plenty of other sources for crazy stuff online. Some retail therapy might just be in order, even if there is no intention of buying. The fact is, sites like eBay and Amazon have a wealth of entertaining items to consider, which can be fun to look at even if it is not in the budget to be spending the cash. Such sites allow for browsing by item type, making it easy to start poking around. For those who need more guidance, checking out the lists made by Amazon users can be quite entertaining, and can be a great way to find some obscure items. The extra fun in eBay comes from checking out how the bidding process is going, and seeing just how much someone is willing to pay for an automatic onion slicer.

Though these ideas can be the source of endless hours of entertainment, they barely scratch the surface of the crazy and offbeat things to be found online.
