		<description>My first Brian Sharkey book I picked up in the late 70&#039;s when I was a graduate student in exercise science.  What I liked about Sharkey&#039;s writing was that he wrote so I could understand the science behind the exercise principles without making me feel inferior.

&lt;br /&gt;You can tell I am a Brian Sharkey book fan and this book is Sharkey at his best.  I love the Vitality and Longevity section, for much of my practice is with middle aged adults who are looking for ways to &quot;re-energize&quot; their lives.
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;This is a must for those of us who are practicing in worksites and looking for a way to keep up with the science of fitness and wellness.

		<description>The book starts out like a commercial for the authors feelings on staying fit. This is a text book and not very engaging but contains a lot of good information. I bought it as I was starting to workout again and think the book really helped get me going in the right direction.
