First, the cheap mixer is much lighter than the Hamilton Beach brand; second, there is an awkward button below the speed switch; third, it is really loud (yes, it probably is because of it's "power" motor). However, I really like the different attachments that comes with the mixer though. All-in-all, I am relatively satisfied with it; however, not really impressed. BUT -- I did only spend $30 for it! Just used the hand mixer a day ago, and I have to tell you that my $8 mixer I bought three years ago works better.
