People these days lead hectic crazy lives. They juggle work, family, responsibilities, and a myriad of other things. It seems as if people can not function without keeping a schedule book so that they can keep all of their appointments straight. With so many things to think about and take out attention away we often forget to stop and relax.
Without taking the time to relax you may soon feel crazy and stressed. With so many things demanding time and attention you may feel that you can not devote enough attention to each project. Here are some helpful hints to relax and reset yourself so that you do not end up going crazy .
The first thing that you may want to consider is eliminating the excess. Make a list of all of the appointments and responsibilities that you have. Think seriously about what you really want to do and see if there is something that you can eliminate to help relieve some stress. Even if you can just eliminate one responsibility that will give you more time to play with in your day.
Another thing that can help you get your day off to a great start is to plan in five extra minutes. Giving yourself just five minutes in the morning before you begin to get ready for your day will help you to get off on the right foot. Perhaps you have a great view from your kitchen. Sit for five minutes and relax. Dedicating these minutes without your cell phone, or the television on, without the computer on will help you to start out relaxed. That is not to say that during your crazy work day you may not start to feel stressed again but for a few minutes in the morning you can relax.
Many people can think of something that they wish that they had time for that they love to do. Perhaps you relax with a good book, or a craft project. Whatever it is that you wish that you had time for make a promise to yourself that you will find time for you again. You may not be able to get to it everyday with work and kids, but make a promise to yourself that at least once a week you will do that thing which you love.
Many times we try to get the most done while we are at the office. We take what we call a working lunch. We work while we eat and do not even really pay attention to the food that our bodies are consuming. If at all possible get away from your desk during lunch. Eat outside or when you have finished eating just take a step outside and get some fresh air. Getting away from your cubicle or desk will help you to take a minute to stop and unwind.
Another great way to relax is to find a baby sitter. You will be surprised how much you are able to reset with a nice dinner out with your husband or wife. Go to a nicer restaurant where there is less likely to be children. Having someone that you trust to watch your children like a family member or a friend will give you the opportunity to relax and just enjoy a nice quiet evening out.
So the next time that you become dizzy from your daily crazy routine just remember these few simple steps to relaxing. Even if you can manage to do one of them it is a step in the right direction.
